As part of the Quatorial programme students have a short student-led session called the Quatorial Project. It is designed to give students an opportunity to put their knowledge of English into practice in an authentic, real-world way. The aim is to build students’ communicative ability and confidence.
Students work on a group project in small multi-national, multi-level groups (marketing a new product, launching a new business, etc), and prepare a presentation which they deliver on Friday. Every member of each group must participate in the presentation, so members of each group must work together.

Each week’s topic is set by the tutor and all students work to this one brief. In this way students are better able to watch and follow each other’s presentations on Friday, and a competitive element is also introduced. All presentations are recorded and students are given constructive feedback.
This week the project was about creating a business plan for an empty shop in Oxford city centre. This led to a rather entertaining presentation by one team, it is not to be missed....
